Looks identical ....... but no, not really, right?

Nah no that's just a coincidence, if at all.

I just wrote a mail to Vodafone and asked. That no one has thought of it yet ...
They will surely be able to give me an answer to what the Vodafone logo means.
I also can't imagine that they have anything to do with the Klan, but the guy who designed the logo will certainly have a laughing fit. Or anchoring, depending on the;);)

I received an answer from vodafone today:

Good day Mr. Schmidt,

Thank you very much for your email.

The Vodafones logo symbolizes a speech mark, a sign of
literal speech - suitable for a communications company.

Vodafone travel promise. Minute prices like at home - only 75 cents extra
per call. So you have your mobile phone costs under control, even abroad.
Exact conditions here:

By the way: Your email will not be saved. In case you have any further questions
please inform us of your request again.

Kind regards from Ratingen

ne now I come and say that graphic designers normally prevent similarities to other symbols and logos. Unless it's on purpose! Coincidence with such a well-known symbol is more unlikely, in my opinion. Well the gafiker was just a newbe.

@cortex

Um, hardly anyone in Europe knows the symbol of the Ku Klux Klan. Graphic designers try to avoid similarities to protected brands, but nobody thought of the Ku Klux Klan for sure! Second ... if you took a closer look at the logo, you could see that there are two quotation marks hidden in the Vodafone logo ... in the first and second "O". So the statement made by the Vodafone man is quite plausible.

Nothing against the logo but the graphic designer still hasn't done enough math!
The symbol of the KKK's is very well known in Europe and such a mistake must not occur with such a large order!

@cortex

In the right circles the symbol is well known, but not by a graphic designer;) Therefore it is neither sloppy work nor intent, but a coincidence.

Plus, you seem to be completely ignoring the fact that there are two quotes in the logo.

ok the kkk is not as well known as the swastika but imagine there is a logo that is similar to the Hakenkretuz that has a destructive effect on the image. But I also interpreted the logo as a quotation mark.
Stupid coincidence ...

"Although he will be 100% President again"

He will not be 100% president again, because you cannot be a president for more than 8 years, so no relationships or conspiracies will help either :)

And the logo is just coincidence nech o.O.

I'm also quite suspicious of the vodafone sign and the ku klux klan logo. I mean, you will have noticed that people imagine negative things under the sign and still do not change it ..

have you made the comparison.

I think because you have revealed it all soooo beautifully, they have changed the logo.

Here's the new one:

The drop of blood in the picture with the KKK circle is very stylized.
There are other representations where it resembles the Vodafone logo rather less.

And, elgreco?
Same designer! The vodafone logo was developed by the designer who also developed the new cocacola logo. Maybe he also developed the KKK, after all, he was an ami. Maybe not.

In the official version, this is an apostrophe and a reversed apostrophe, was seen in the old logo.
Internally at Vodafone it is called a tear.

mmm
