Is Reliance JIO really worthy of it

Samsung Galaxy series

The Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 is a handset for those after a compact phone, one on an affordable contract, or a device that can be bought SIM-free. Most of Samsung’s phones of previous years were plastic, even the fairly expensive devices. The Samsung Galaxy A3 demonstrates just how far the company has moved on from that style. This device is composed of glass and metal, with barely any plastic on show at all. The front and back glass are big-brand Gorilla Glass 4, and the rear features curved edges for a softer feel. Beneath the screen is a reliable fingerprint scanner couched between the two soft keys, just as in Samsung’s larger phones. Also included is a headphone jack. In addition, the Galaxy A3 is water resistant. Its IP68 certification means that an accidental drop in water is unlikely to cause damage. As is the case with the majority of new handsets, the Samsung Galaxy A3 has a USB Type-C charging port rather than micro-USB. The phone has just 16 GB of storage, which is a little disappointing since the device offers only 9.8 GB of available internal memory and 481 MB of RAM without installing any apps. However, there is a slot for a single microSD card in the tray. The Samsung Galaxy A3 has an unusual speaker placement. Rather than sitting on the bottom of the device, it can be found on the side, above the power button. Speaker quality is fine, with enough volume to cut through some ambient noise.

For display, the Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 features a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with punchy colors that can be calibrated to suit the user’s button. For those who like a super-vivid look, it's there. If a more relaxed color is desired, it's possible to just switch to the "Basic" mode in Settings to achieve this. The Samsung Galaxy A3 has a 13 MP rear camera with a f / 1.9 lens. However, the camera lacks optical image stabilization. Around the front sits an 8 MP selfie camera. It's capable of producing decent images in good light. The phone uses an Exynos 7870, a CPU with eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 1.6 GHz, and a Mali-T830 GPU. Samsung also includes masses of pre-installed apps, which aren't entirely welcome since the Samsung Galaxy A3’s storage is limited. There's the Microsoft Apps suite, including Word and OneNote. S Health is probably the most interesting of Samsung’s own apps. This is now a full fitness and 'wellness' platform, allowing the user to simply track steps, but also log user’s food and GPS-track hikes, cycles and walks as well. There's only a small increase in battery capacity from 2,300 to 2,350 mAh. The 2,350 mAh battery is well suited to the Samsung Galaxy A3’s small screen, and when used in a way that exploits this, the Galaxy A3 lasts for some time. The 2017 Galaxy A3 is a low-end smartphone with all the necessary features of a high-end device. Hence, the slightly higher price tag is justified.

A new galaxy. Samsung presented its smartphone flagship from the current portfolio at a major event in London. A quad-core SoC based on ARM, 720p screen, NFC and Android 4.0 ICS are now considered good forms of this class. Samsung Galaxy S3: New class leader in attractive packaging?

Even if the S3 is now over a year old, there is hardly a better offer on the market in terms of price / performance. For just 290 euros you get a phone with an HD display, a fast CPU, expandable memory and a good 8-megapixel camera. The only minor drawback is the operating system version, because the S3 is currently still running Android 4.1.

Motorola Moto G vs Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone comparison review: which is the best budget Android phone?

Choose the Moto G if you want a more recent version of Android and a cheaper phone. The Galaxy S3 is a marginally better performer with a marginally better camera. But really these are two excellent smartphones that offer a glimpse of just how much phone you can get for relatively little cash these days.

Mini size, maxi performance? Samsung is pushing a new compact version of the successful flagship Galaxy S3. The Samsung Galaxy S3 mini GT-I8190 comes with Android 4.1.1 and a Super AMOLED touchscreen with a 4-inch diagonal and should round off the Galaxy series at the bottom. Can the performance and 8 GB of internal storage convince at a low price of around 285 euros?

There's nothing wrong with a cheap, functional smartphone, and the Galaxy Fame is exactly that. The trouble is that even at this price the fame is being squeezed out by much better phones that cost roughly the same amount. Windows-toting Lumia 520 is a much better performer at a similar size, and the Moto's E and -G knock the Fame for six. It's not a bad deal, but for just a tiny bit more there are better deals to be had.

The Samsung Galaxy Fame is not a phone that will live forever, and it hasn't quite learned to fly. It is clear from the very outset that Samsung has used the ingredients to create a lower-end smartphone, such as the smaller internal chipset, the smaller screen and the low internal storage. We can see the Samsung Galaxy Fame selling a fair few units, especially given its super low price tag, and we don't see that as a bad thing, given that the majority of users will likely be young, and wanting a way of connecting to Facebook, but for anything more substantial, the handset really struggles.

The Galaxy Young's low price and the fact it runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean are really all it has going for it. Its low grade hardware and dire performance mean that we'd rather have an alternative budget smartphone running Ice Cream Sandwich, or even Windows Phone 8, which can deliver in these key areas.

Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505

One of the best Android smartphones in the world, the Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 offers the best of everything current smartphones have to offer. The 5 inch screen With FullHD resolution is big and beautiful and the 13 MP camera is excellent. The latter is supported by software that offers fun features. Sound & Shot is a good example. It enables the user to record sound clips and assign photos. One of the disadvantages of the excellent device is the frustratingly long start-up time of the camera, which can be between 2 and 4 seconds. In combination with the short battery life and the cheap plastic feel, one could get the impression that it is not the best device compared to the competition.

On the other hand, the price of the Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 is competitive and while the body feels cheap, it looks great and weighs less than comparable devices. The phone is equipped with unique, promising features. One of them is Air gesturesthat allows control by waving your hand above the sensor. Like most new technologies, the feature is not quite as mature as it should and is particularly popular because of its novelty value. Overall, using the phone with a quad-core processor that does the job feels good. Make no mistake: the Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 may not be perfect, but it's an excellent phone and one of the best deals out there.

Evolution of the blockbuster. Samsung's Galaxy S3 has sold over 40 million times. Now the successor is ready and wants to be an even bigger success. The Galaxy S4 comes with a Full HD Super AMOLED display, quad-core CPU and all sorts of technical gadgets. Is that enough to defend the top position?

The following applies to the camera: the image quality and range of functions in the S4 are still very good, but the gap to the S5 is still large, because Samsung is upgrading properly in the form of a very fast phase comparison autofocus, real-time HDR and the ability to record 4K videos . ... the 270 euros that the S4 costs today is a great price for a top-quality ex-flagship from a brand like Samsung.

The fast all-rounder from Samsung is not only top when it comes to image and video recording, but also when it comes to connectivity: the S4 uses six frequency bands for LTE and four for UMTS. An absolute top device, only a radio is missing from the equipment list.

Even if the current top-of-the-range Galaxy model no longer has the fastest processor and the highest-resolution camera, it is still one of the most powerful Android phones ever. On top of that, the Samsung model offers tons of clever features, including eye scrolling, gesture control or an integrated infrared remote control.

Especially the indoor and outdoor shots in good light are a real pleasure - crisp and color-fast ... Pictures with the photo light switched on are impressive. However, the camera is not at all in its element in poor lighting conditions - the switchable automatic night detection does not bring much improvement, image noise can be clearly seen on the test photos.

The new Android king?
Source: Netzwelt
Powerful hardware, the latest Android version, haptics that take getting used to and a bunch of operating features that can be argued about - the strengths and weaknesses of the Galaxy S4 are the same as those of its predecessor. However, the answer to the typical questions in 2013 is different from 2012: Is the Galaxy S4 better than the S3? Definitely! Is it worth switching from the Galaxy S3 to the Galaxy S4? Not necessarily.
Hardware potent; Software up-to-date; Haptics takes getting used to

With the Galaxy S4, Samsung has undoubtedly succeeded in placing a new top model on the smartphone market. It is in direct competition with the HTC One, but has to lag behind the competition due to the less valuable workmanship. The plastic housing looks just too cheap for a smartphone that costs at least 560 euros without a contract, depending on the selected online shop.

High-end smartphone with 5 '' AMOLED & Full HD display

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is a first-class smartphone with the Google Android 4.2.2 operating system. As far as the flaws are concerned, one can repeat many statements that already applied to last year's S3. The processing quality lags behind comparable models such as the HTC One or the Sony Xperia Z. "S-Voice" remains a party gag and the new "Smart Scroll" function proves to be useless in everyday life.
Operating system very good; Processing quality mediocre; Function "Smart Scroll" unusable
