Avengers: Endgame - Detailed review

For many years and a total of 22 films, those responsible at Marvel Studios around producer Kevin Feige have been working towards this one moment. Various solo films by the individual Marvel heroes around Iron Man, Captain America and Co. as well as some larger crossover attempts later, “Avengers: Endgame” marks the final finale of an era. While some of our especially younger heroes will still play a role afterwards, we unfortunately have to say goodbye to some others - in different ways.

The directors Anthony and Joe Russo succeed in working together with the underrated screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who have been responsible for the quality of various Marvel hits for years, the perfect balancing act between emotionality, bombast and history. Just narrative and dynamic, pretty much every film in Hollywood can cut one or two slices of “Avengers: Endgame”. With so many stars and important characters, it was actually impossible to bring a balanced film to the screen - but the incredibly talented and now well-established team really succeeded.

In addition to the typical Marvel joke that has always accompanied the franchise and here again absolutely skillfully because it is pointedly woven in, the drama, even the tragedy in "Avengers: Endgame" is in the foreground. In the meantime, aspects such as depression, hopelessness and deep sadness dominate the event, which then also affects the mood of the audience. You are excited and suffer for a good three hours with your favorite heroes, whom you had accompanied as a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the cinema release of "Avengers: Endgame" for 11 years. A tailor-made degree, but at the same time the starting signal for a new era - the predicate: You have to see it!
