Will Disney Plus be available in Europe

Disney Plus: Costs, Contents & Registration - The most important information

After the streaming service Disney + (pronounced Disney Plus) started successfully in the USA at the end of 2019, it has also been available in Germany since last year. With the best Disney films of all time, Marvel blockbusters, the “Star Wars” saga and many other films and series, The Walt Disney Company is now competing with other providers such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

Disney +: Start in Germany

Disney's video-on-demand service was officially launched in Germany on March 24, 2020. Disney + has been available as a regular streaming subscription since February 23, 2021 at a price of 8.99 euros per month. If, on the other hand, you want to take out an annual subscription, the service costs 89.99 euros - two months are therefore free. Previously, the price was a little lower, but with the launch of the Star channel, Disney Plus now has 300 new content - and this time it's mostly for adults.

Disney Plus: Cost to start

In contrast to Amazon Prime, for example, additional costs are only payable in rare cases for certain films or series - with the subscription price you get access to the entire advertising-free offer.

On-demand fans will quickly find that Disney + saves costs that would otherwise be incurred for popular, but paid series or films on Amazon Prime Video. Under certain circumstances, it can therefore make sense for you to check the offer of the new streaming provider in advance before buying or renting from Amazon.
